Thoughts On President Ouattara

It was interesting to see the investiture of Ouattara as the notional President of the Ivory Coast amidst his French and UN supporters and the butchers and killers of his armed forces. One was reminded of the old Igbo proverb “Ikwikwi nyuru ahuru si umunna ya kwere ya egwu, ha si ya tufia anghi ekwere ihe ojoo egwu” “An Owl farted and demanded to be praised by his kinsmen; they mocked him and said that it was not right to dance to an abomination”. The whole spectacle was an abomination.

Caught Red Handed; British Assassins In The Horn Of Africa

In early February of this year, 2011, a six man squad of British mercenaries were caught red handed in the midst of preparing an attempt to assassinate the top leadership of the Eritrean government in the port city of Massawa on the Red Sea.
A search of the vessel they arrived on uncovered a cache of tools of the assassins trade. Included was a small arsenal of automatic weapons, a sophisticated satellite communications system, state of the art electronic target range finders, and most damning, several sniper rifles.

The Coup In Cote d’Ivoire

As peace loving and progressive forces in the West and in the U.S. in particular deliriously celebrated the awakening of pro-democratic movements in white dominated Islamic countries that routinely and officially kick Blacks to the curb, growing evidence suggests the West, led by France, engineered a political and military coup in Cote d’Ivoire that some say is designed to re-colonize that country.

Torture At The Hotel du Golf In Côte d’Ivoire

They were arrested at the residence of ousted President Laurent Gbagbo in Cocody April 11, 2011. Transferred to the Golf Hotel where the headquarters of the provisional presidency of president Alassane Ouattara, the “prisoners” (and ex-ministers close to Gbagbo) undergo torture and inhuman and degrading treatment. ADVISORY: Disturbing Pictures.

Gambia Doesn’t Recognise Ouattara

BANJUL – The Gambia said on Saturday that it does not recognize Alassane Ouattara as president of Cote d’Ivoire after the arrest on Monday of his predecessor, Laurent Gbagbo, with the help of the UN and French forces.

It is amazing to see how those in the mainstream press simply ignore anybody who leaves the ‘official frame’ set by the ‘respected authorities’. Every time I left the ‘acceptable box’ during a debate in France on 24 Friday , the others came back where they had left off as if I had said nothing. The limits of debate are narrow and ‘official speak’ is full of new euphemisms and phraseology with meaningless content destined to join ‘collateral damage’ in the dustbin of used spin. Let us look at some examples.

A Coup In The Making In Burkina Faso?

Members of the Burkina Faso presidential guard mutinied in Ouagadougou late April 15 in an incident that has the hallmarks of a coup d’etat. Beyond the local pay conditions of members of Burkina armed forces, a probable coup attempt is directly linked to recent events in neighboring Ivory Coast.
Compaore has long been the leading external African backer of top members of the new Ivorian government, including the new President Alassane Ouattara as well as his Prime Minister and Defense Minister Guillaume Soro

The United Nations Is A Joke

Mr. Cudjoe said the UN has become discredited by its action of allowing the internationally proclaimed elected President of Ivory Coast Alhassan Ouatarra and his rebel forces to kill and maim innocent civilians who are caught in the cross fire of the Ivorian crisis.
“Gbagbo’s closing statement when he was caught was such so apt-this was what he said ‘look the military part of this crisis is over, now let’s deal with the civilian crisis – that is a mark of a true leader.

Ivory Coast: French Colonialism And UN Lies

The first lie is “pro-Ouatara forces captured Gbagbo”. Lets look at the events. On Saturday night and all day Sunday, French attack helicopters fired rockets at the Presidential compound in direct violation of UN Security Council Resolution 1975 which gave a mandate for protecting civilians and not taking sides. Then on Monday morning, as reported by al-Jazeera, a column of thirty French armored vehicles and French special forces moved in on the residence.

Shame On Africa

President Gbagbo ordered his men to put down their weapons and to return to their homes. Now they are discussing how to end this. It is a tragedy, but a man-made tragedy of French greed and UN spinelessness. A shabby affair that will grow worse as people learn what really happened.
