The President of Somalia Sharif Sheikh Ahmed greeting an injured TFG Soldier

Somalia President H.E Sharif Sheikh Ahmed has taken a tour on the bases of both the African Union troops on the ground and those of the Somali government troops as well as the new bases under the TFG control in the Hodan district of Mogadishu.

President Sharif kicked off his tour of the area accompanied by the key heads of the Somali government forces

The President addressing the Somali government troops called on the forces to double their efforts so as to flash out the extremists in Somalia who are terrorizing the innocent Somali people.

The President added that the government forces has made great tides in the fight against extremism and added that the operation will continue until the country is freed from the extremists.

The government forces has now taken key bases that were perceived as strong al-Shabab bases in the capital and have managed to kill many fighters and restored peace and sanity to the areas.
