Philosophical Dialogue Between Africa And The Americas
Within the Framework of the International Year for People of African Descent
“AFRICA AND ITS DIASPORA”
The conference will bring together philosophers from throughout Africa, the African diaspora, and the Americas (Latin America, Canada, Mexico, Caribbean, United States) to address contemporary challenges, especially the meaning community, liberation, health, and ideals of the beautiful. The conference will be streamed live and simulcast. Sessions will be recorded to create a data base of debates for future web casting. The dialogue from the conference as well as individual interviews of philosophers will be made available after the conference for educational uses and as a resource for continued debate.
